Getting complements

Now this one is spicy mango through and through. If you’ve ever had those masala mango sweets in Durban, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s like God of Fire—but with a masala kick.

It’s still fresh enough for summer, but the spiciness makes it feel just as wearable in autumn and even winter. That said, I’m not sure how many people (myself included) could pull off a mango-forward scent in the Joburg winter—it probably works better if you live at the coast. If I did, I’d happily wear this all year round.

Performance is solid at around 7 hours straight out the box. Not bad at all. The only downside is the presentation—the packaging and bottle feel a bit rough around the edges (I nearly broke the cap trying to open it). But the atomizer makes up for it—pressurized and strong, it sprays like a dream.

For R550, this is still a bargain, especially with fragrance prices climbing due to import duties. Vulcan Feu was going for as high as R1,600 at its peak in June, and even now it sits between R800–R1,000. In comparison, Mango Fire—an Extrait de Parfum—offers strong projection, solid performance, and incredible value.

Sweeter, more unisex, least woody, and cheapest (~R400) → Lattafa Opulent Dubai

Closer to God of Fire than Opulent Dubai, with added oud, florals, and a spicy twist—plus proudly local → Tega Scents Mango Fire

This is still a 9/10 fragrance for me, just like the others. Beautiful, unique, and guaranteed to stand out—most people won’t have this one compared to the other God of Fire clones, and that makes it even more special.

It is a beautiful unisex smell, the dry down is just to die for, whoever it has poor projection and doesn’t last that long so you definitely have to carry it with for a reapplication if you want it to perform all day. Lasts about 3 or 4 hours . The smell is not overwhelming so Decided to make it my daily and buy two one for the house and one for the car for reapplication .

If you’re a fan of Versace eau Fraiche this is the closest you will get to that smell… this just doesn’t have the aquatic notes and I actually prefer that. Definitely getting two more
